Step 10: Basket

Create a new raster layer as the top layer and name it basket. Load the basket.sel selection and flood fill it with color #88522E.

Texture the basket by going to Effects > Texture Effects > Weave (Fig. 18). Use these settings:

Gap size = 1
Width = 2
Opacity = 66
Fill gaps = checked
Weave color = black (#000000)
Gap color = black (#000000)

In PSP 7, apply outer bevel effect to add dimension to the basket (Fig. 19a).

Float and defloat the selection. Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Outer Bevel. Use the following settings:

Bevel = Bevel shape
Width = 29
Smoothness = 48
Depth = 28
Ambience = 29
Shininess = 71
Color = #6E441E
Angle = 315
Intensity = 57
Elevation = 33

Deselect before starting the next step.

Fig. 19b: PSP8 inner bevel effect

In PSP 8, apply inner bevel effect to add dimension to the basket (Fig. 19b).

Float and defloat the selection. Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel. Use the following settings:

Bevel = Bevel shape
Width = 7
Smoothness = 18
Depth = 3
Ambience = 88
Shininess = 66
Color = #DCB1A0
Angle = 315
Intensity = 27
Elevation = 33

Deselect before starting the next step.

Step 11: Basket rim

Create a new raster layer as the top layer and name it basket rim. Load the basket.sel selection and flood fill it with color #88522E.

Apply the same outer (PSP7) or inner (PSP8) bevel effect used in step 10 to the rim. Deselect.

Move the basket and rim into place. Be sure that the rim covers the top bevel on the basket as well as the bottom horizontal line of the struts. (Fig. 20).
