We will now correct the blur in this image using layer effects.









Be sure you are on the duplicate layer (it should be blue in the layer palette).





Right click and select screen in the drop down menu.





















The results are not quite what we want but the picture is much brighter.
















Be sure to be on the background layer. Duplicate the layer again.

Use same setting as before 5.0
















Change the layer setting to Overlay


Move the Overlay layer above the Screen layer











Adjust Opacity level on the two duplicated layers until you like the results.
