Now reduce the brush size a little, and then go over the stalks in the painting, following the direction and shape of the stalk with your paint stroke, and paint the background leaves.

Now reduce the brush stroke even more, and fill in the centre part of the flower. Make tiny circular strokes at the tip of the stamens, to emphasize them.

Now that the flower is finished, we must break up those very straight lines in the dark background. Set the brush size to 40 or thereabouts and make strokes in various directions in the background. Avoid the flower, stalks and leaves, and don't worry about covering every centimetre of the background. It will not matter if the odd bit of the straight painting shows here and there. Your photo should now look like this.

It is an oil painting now, but oil paintings are usually on canvas and there is no hint of canvas texture here yet, so we must add it. Go to the art materials display, and open Papers. Find the paper called Raw Silk and select it. Set the values below the illustration of the paper texture to the levels shown here.
Now find, on the Effects menu, Surface Control and select Apply Surface Texture. Set the controls as shown below.

Our picture is finished, and looks like a real oil on canvas.

All that remains is give it a frame. I created this one in PhotoImpact, but there are many programs which will add a frame to a picture,

Our useless fuzzy photo has become a beautiful oil painting.
